Malina VC venture fund has bought out developer Samolet’s stake in Darkstore at Home delivery service

A representative of Samolet Plus explained that the decision to sell the stake was due to the company’s strategic intention to continue investing in industrial projects and technologies in the field of development.

Samolet Plus considers the experience of investing in Darkstore at Home as successful, as the operational and financial indicators of the service have increased over the two years of the developer’s participation in the capital, Samolet Plus notes.

Since the first round of investment, which Darkstore at Home conducted in August 2022, the service has increased its revenue 110 times (2023 compared to 2022), expanded its geographic presence from 9 to over 13 million cities, and increased the number of warehouses from 12 to 27, a Darkstore at Home representative said.

Representatives of Samolet Plus, Darkstore at Home and Malina VC did not disclose the transaction amount.

Darkstore at Home closed the second round of investment of 50 million rubles in July 2024. As a result of two tranches, the company received 34 million rubles from the 2FISH Capitals fund and a group of private investors, 16 million rubles from Malina VC and a syndicate of private investors.

Currently, the main owners of Darkstore at Home are Kirill Chekanov and Grigory Tareev with 29.2% shares each, 10.4% belongs to 2FISH Capitals and 7.4% to Malina VC.
