The test batch amounted to 1,000 devices, and another 60,000 are planned to be produced by the end of the first quarter of 2025. The cost of the monitors starts at 10,000 rubles.
Graviton representatives do not disclose production details or investment volumes. One problem for the company may be the high competition in the market for public sector monitors; currently the national register of radio electronics contains more than 600 items from other manufacturers.
Lawyers say possible secondary sanctions by the US and EU could force the South Korean company to finally abandon the Russian market. Samsung already froze supplies to Russia after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine and leased the plant to Russian distributor VVP Group, which then began subleasing the premises.
According to Kirill Skvortsov, director of strategic development at contract TV manufacturer STI Group, the production of 61,000 monitors will cost $1.2 million (109 million rubles at the Central Bank’s exchange rate as of September 11), while the factory intended to produce large quantities may face losses if its capacity is not sufficiently utilized, he noted.
“Graviton” is owned by LLC “Revotech”, established in October 2020. Alexander Bashlykov owns 50% of the company, and the remaining 50% is owned by electronics supplier 3Logic Group (New IT Project LLC).
In 2023, the company’s revenue amounted to 357 million rubles, and net profit – 3.6 million rubles. According to data from the government procurement portal, Graviton has repeatedly supplied its products for government needs.
