The Research Center will now be able to test polymers, reinforcing fibers, including glass and carbon, and composite materials based on them. These tests will cover the development and qualification of new aircraft components and products. The center will determine the mechanical properties of non-metallic materials at extreme temperatures and evaluate their moisture resistance, the press service noted.

The accreditation will allow Rosatom to expand its capabilities in the field of testing and certification of aviation materials, which will help improve the quality and safety of products in the aviation industry.
