The city is developing a tariff schedule for paid parking for efficient use. The mayor’s office believes that if the parking lot is empty, then it can be free, and as it becomes busier, the tariff will change. Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov invited motorists to take part in the tests.

He said that two weeks have been allocated for this – from September 16 to 30. It will be held on Ilyinka Street, Tverskaya Zastava Square, Rozhdestvensky Boulevard, as well as Novaya Square and Nikitsky Lane. To take part in the pilot project, you need to leave an application on the website. Then you will receive instructions with information on how to install a special version of the application for testing.

“The cost of parking will depend on the location and time of day. The minimum rate for the trial period is zero rubles per hour, the maximum is 380 rubles at Tverskaya Zastava Square and 600 rubles at all other parking lots. However, the price may vary depending on the workload. For other drivers, it will remain the same as usual,” the mayor’s office said.

Testers will be able to benefit from participating in the pilot and providing feedback. Those who meet all the conditions will receive an exclusive Troika card from Moscow Parking.

If there are no or almost no free parking spaces, the price for testers will be standard. As the workload decreases, the cost will decrease until it reaches zero.
