The laboratory will focus on solving problems of predicting natural and climatic risks characteristic of the region. According to Kozhemyako, a working group has been created at the federal level to resolve organizational issues, and the center is planned to start operating in 2025.
The laboratory’s effectiveness is expected to be evident within the first year of its operation. The centre will be an important tool for strengthening Primorsky Krai’s climate security, allowing it to respond quickly to threats and use scientific developments to prevent natural disasters.
