Three applications refer to products with added juice and vitamins: “Gorji Sun grapefruit water”, “Gorji Sun citrus-lemon water” and “Gorji Sun pomegranate and blueberry water”.
Representatives of Aqua Holding said that specific data on the scale of production and investments will be available closer to the summer of 2025.
Soyuznapitka President Maxim Novikov classified water with juice as part of the “water plus” segment, which is actively growing all over the world. In Russia, this market is just emerging, but its prospects are favorable.
Independent expert Alena Kondratieva believes that so far only large players can afford to produce water with additives due to limited demand and high cost of such products. However, the segment continues to develop, especially in large cities.
Aqua Holding is not the only company developing a line of water with additives. IDS Borjomi Russia produces “Holy Spring” with juice and several types of Borjomi, and “Multon” develops “Dobroy Voda + Juice”. The new lines became popular after the departure of foreign brands.
According to NielsenIQ, soft drink sales increased 9% in volume and 23% in value between January and August 2024. The regular water segment grew 13.5% and 27%, while the flavored water category grew 59% and 74%, respectively.
