According to CNN Brasil, he previously acted as X’s legal representative in Brazil, but following a lawsuit that Elon Musk considered a threat to freedom, the social network decided to close the office.
At the court’s request, X must also pay a fine and block several accounts. Earlier, the country’s authorities unfroze the company’s accounts in order to withdraw the corresponding amount of the fine.
As for the blocking of accounts, this requirement has not yet been met. But Correio Braziliense, quoted by Vedomosti, claims that the first steps have already been taken.
For example, the pages of bloggers Bruno Ayoub and Allan dos Santos, suspected of “spreading disinformation and facilitating attacks on government news agencies,” are no longer available.
