Bakalchuk’s legal status after his release is unknown. Other defendants in the Wildberries office shooting case (about 30 people) were detained until November 18, 2024.

September 19 to Vladislav Bakalchuk presented charges under articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on murder, attempted murder, attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and arbitrariness. Searches were carried out at Bakalchuk’s place of residence.

Bakalchuk described the conflict at the company office that preceded his arrest as a “cynical provocation.”

“I officially declare: we came to the office with peaceful intentions to resolve issues related to payments to employees and contractors of VB-Development, the audit of the so-called “merger” and to familiarize ourselves with the necessary documents,” Bakalchuk wrote.

The conflict between spouses Tatyana and Vladislav Bakalchukov, which arose after the merger of the Wildberries marketplace and the Russ outdoor advertising operator, brought the shooting at the Wildberries headquarters in central Moscow, in which two people were killed.
