Xiaomi, during the celebration of the 8th anniversary of its activities in India, presented its CyberDog robot in the country.
Robodog is an open source robot with four limbs. The robot was presented in 2021 in China. The Indian public can learn more about the novelty at Mi Home stores, which are located in such major cities as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chenna and Ahmedabad.
The four-legged robot is one of the company’s first steps into this type of robotics industry. And of course Xiaomi does not plan to stop and will expand its offer.
CyberDog is powered by the Jetson Xavier NX AI supercomputer, which is equipped with no fewer than eleven high-precision sensors. The robot also has a 128 GB SSD drive. The sensors will be able to provide a very fast response so that the robotic dog can navigate the terrain with ease. CyberDog will be able to adapt to any difficult terrain in a few seconds, it is very agile.
The robot also has display technology, present in Xiaomi smartphones. Thanks to this technology, the robotic dog intelligently perceives the world around it, the “fisheye”-like binocular “superwides” and the Intel Depth module help it in this.
What else can CyberDog do? It can recognize a person’s posture and appearance, track offline objects, overcome various obstacles, or simply bypass them. In addition, the robot analyzes the environment, navigates the terrain, and can even make a navigation map.
To set up CyberDog, you can use the HDMI and USB ports. The maximum speed that CyberDog can reach is 11.52 km/h. And another interesting feature of the robot is the backflip.
