Operation Terabyte was launched by the Federal Police this Wednesday morning (25). 141 search and seizure warrants to identify and arrest sexual predators Company storing and sharing child sexual abuse material in Brazil.

“The operation aims to achieve greater integration between federal and state police forces operating within the borders of their respective states in the criminal prosecution of offenders who store and share child sexual abuse material,” the Federal Police said in a statement through its press office. “It also aims to demonstrate the involvement and commitment of the various public institutions involved in defending the sexual dignity of child and adolescent victims.”

Operation Terabyte is so named because it primarily aims to investigate individuals who possess or traffic large amounts of child sexual abuse material.

Arrest warrants were served to 23 units of the Federation. 59 people have been arrested so farOne of them will be a sergeant from the FAB (Brazilian Air Force), according to G1, who did not comment on the case.

The Federal Police recommendation states that between December 2023 and August 2024, the PF Apprehension Sector issued 1,291 arrest warrants for sexual abusers currently awaiting execution.
