Since January 2024, demand for cyber exercises has increased by 25%

Cyber ​​exercises are necessary to effectively detect and prevent attacks, a Jet Infosystem representative explained. As part of these exercises, specialists develop their skills to investigate and respond to information security incidents using scenarios as close as possible to real-life conditions.

Those most interested in cyber training are manufacturing companies (42%), financial organizations (21%) and transportation companies (13%).

Cyber ​​exercises involving professional white hat hackers are always expensive: their cost ranges from several million to 20-30 million rubles, noted Aleksey Lukatsky, security consultant at Positive Technologies. Pricing depends on the exercise scenario, the availability of a training program, and whether the exercise is a one-time exercise or an annual subscription.

According to a study by Megafon and Kaspersky Lab, 35% of employees of Russian companies click on phishing links received in fake emails. However, among companies that provided training to their employees, this figure drops to 9%.

Experts note that the draft law on fines for leakage of personal data, approved by the State Duma in the first reading in January 2024, can become an additional incentive to carry out cyber exercises. If adopted, fines for breaches will range from 3 to 15 million rubles, and for repeated breaches – from 0.1% to 3% of the company’s revenue, making the prevention of cyberattacks even more relevant for companies.
