Intel Arc GPUs are still only available in China, but the company’s PR director was able to bring one to the US for an unboxing video.
Intel Arc Alchemist technically arrived in March, but we haven’t yet seen desktop or gaming laptops with GPUs launched outside of China. While it may seem like the blue team has forgotten the rest of the world, a member of the company’s marketing team created an unboxing video after receiving the graphics card.
On Twitter, Community Engagement Director Ryan Schrout shows off two Intel Arc GPUs, both special models of the Gunnir A380 Photon. Equipped with 8 Xe-cores, Shrout reiterates that the cards in question are designed for 1080p gaming on medium settings. Of course, if he’s been following early Arc Alchemist benchmarks, he already knows that the A380 is struggling to keep up with the Nvidia GTX 1650.
The Intel Arc A380 is undoubtedly a budget graphics card priced at around $140. Shrout says that despite its budget status, the GPU has “exceptional build quality.”
