Analysts at TD Cowen estimate that Apple is spending $485 to produce the iPhone 16 Pro Max with 256 GB.
This price includes the cost of components, box and assembly process. For comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro Max cost the company $453.
The most expensive components of the iPhone 16 Pro Max were the screen and camera. In their formation you will have to spend 32%. The 6.9-inch display costs $80, as does the new triple camera.
Production of regular iPhones has also become more expensive. The base iPhone 16 costs Apple $416 to assemble, while the iPhone 15 costs $395, $21 less.
This is standard practice when producing a new iPhone costs more. For example, the iPhone 15 Pro Max cost 12% more than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which, in turn, was 3.4% more expensive than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. [Appleinsider]
