Broker Finam will open access to SpaceX pre-IPO for Russian investors

SpaceX’s current capitalization indicator is approximately $250 billion. The cost of one share of the company is 135 dollars and the minimum investment amount is 10 thousand dollars. The commission for Finam clients when purchasing SpaceX securities will be 5% “for the entry.” The client will have to pay 20% of investment income in the case of further sale of shares.

According to analysts, SpaceX should go public in 2027-2028, and the satellite operator Starlink (a subsidiary of SpaceX) – already in 2025, which will change the value of the parent company, Loshkarev told Vedomosti.

He added that there is currently no pre-IPO round for SpaceX with the opening and filling of the order book: investors will only have the opportunity to buy a stake in the company on the secondary market before its possible IPO.

In June 2024, the space company’s capitalization increased to $210 from $180 billion in December 2023, Bloomberg wrote, citing sources. With this dynamic, some shareholders decide to improve profitability and sell shares, Loshkarev explained.

Finam entered into an agreement with a partner who provided SpaceX securities purchased from one of the funds for sale to the broker’s clients. The volume of shares bought back has not been disclosed, but if there is a high demand for them, this could be the first tranche, Loshkarev clarified. According to him, Finam may purchase additional SpaceX securities if they are available. The corridor plans to close the first section at the end of October 2024.
