If you are a fan Star warsWhat YouTuber James Bruton has achieved will truly shock you as he has managed to create an AT-AT walker using a 3D printer.
Unlike his first appearance in The Empire Strikes BackThis printed AT-AT has the knees of each leg facing outwards in hopes that it will be more stable and less likely to break.
Each leg half is driven by two geared brushed motors, the individual legs can easily lift James’ body weight, and each half has an additional potentiometer that also doubles as servo motors for a wider range of motion inside. fairly limited limitations of the AT-AT design.
Apart from the motors and various electrical components, including batteries to disable mobility during operation, most parts of the AT-AT were printed on a standard 3D printer, and individual connections can be powered via an RJ-45 Ethernet cable.
