The refrigerator came with two power cords. One of the wires is intended for connection to the 12V car on-board network and is equipped with cigarette lighter sockets (with an 8A fuse), the second wire is intended for operation from a ~220V network. On the side panel, you can select a specific operating mode: “Cool” or “Heat”. There is a general power switch, two input connectors (for 12 V DC network and for ~ 220 V AC network). As an indication, there is a pair of LEDs.
The operating principle of this portable refrigerator model is based on the action of the thermoelectric effect. A Peltier module is installed inside it, which provides cooling or heating operation due to the passage of electric current through the semiconductor barrier and the appearance of a temperature difference on the sides of the module. Two solid aluminum radiators of the modules are clearly visible through the holes in the case.
For cooling mode this will be within 16….20 degrees difference. For example, if “overboard” is plus 25 degrees, then the refrigerator can provide 5 … 9 degrees inside. In about an hour, the refrigerator comes into operation. The rate of temperature rise is highly dependent on the mass and temperature of what you put inside.
It is easier with heating – in this mode, the interior temperature can be maintained up to 55 … 65 degrees. That is, you can take hot food and hot drinks with you in the cold season. The time to reach the target temperature is about the same: around 50…60 minutes.
