In very specific cases, Google will apply a space to the end of generative AI-generated content to suggest products related to search terms. The ad will not overtake the text itself, as it is only listed below the summary and marked with a “Sponsored” notification.

Not all searches will generate sponsored products because you need to enter a term related to a specific item for the ad to appear. The products are all already registered with Google Ads and will normally appear in the Shopping tab as well.

The feature, originally called AI Overview in English, has been available in Brazil since last month. But for now, sponsored results continue to appear at the top of the screen, rather than below the automatic replies.
