VK Music carried out the “biggest update in the history of the service.” This was reported to RB.RU by the company’s press service. Now the streaming application and the VKontakte music section are designed in the same style, key sections and the recommendation system have been updated.

The main screen of the updated version features two sections: “VK Mix” with recommendations and “My Tracks” with the user’s music collection. Switching between them is done by sliding your finger.
The recommendation system has become “faster and more precise,” now adapting to the user’s tastes “after a few tracks listened to,” the statement says. Additionally, a gyroscope effect has been added to the main screen: the interface animation reacts to screen rotations.
Last October, VK Music introduced a new search method – snippets. These are short 35-second song snippets that help users discover more music and add it to playlists faster.
