After being taken down for over a month, X (formerly Twitter) is finally back live in Brazil. The unlocking was approved by Federal Supreme Court (STF) Minister Alexandre de Moraes last Tuesday (8) after Elon Musk’s company paid all fines and legal claims.

The social network is slowly returning, as the unblocking is carried out by more than 20 thousand different Internet operators. The deadline for the platform to fully return is 24 hours.

On the social network, users who managed to access their accounts on X are already celebrating and, of course, filling the platform with good old memes. Check out the reactions:

x block

Elon Musk’s social network was blocked on August 31 due to non-compliance with court orders and lack of legal representation in the country. At the time, minister Alexandre de Moraes imposed a R$ 50,000 fine on anyone who used a VPN to bypass the restriction.

The case has since received several updates, including the blocking of Starlink accounts, the “surprise” return of the social network for some Brazilians, and barbs between Elon Musk, Alexandre de Moraes and even President Lula.
