OMP company British hybrid version of Aurora OS. With its help, a mobile device includes a monitor, mouse and keyboard. The new product will be available next year.
Board of Directors Deputy Chairman of PJSC Rostelecom Darius Khalitov stated that it is not planned to separately develop a desktop version of the Aurora OS. The company focused on the development project of a multi-purpose platform.
Rostelecom is investing 500 million rubles in the project and plans to transfer more than 100 thousand of its employees to work with a hybrid system by 2028.
In 2024, we had the task of finalizing and launching a new mobile version of the Aurora 5 platform on the market, including the transition to Aurora 5.1 OS for all device model lines and ecosystems. The foundation has also been laid for the creation of Russian mobile services both for our Aurora OS and for any other OS. All these tasks were completed.
