The head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, sent a letter to the heads of 13 regions, in local authorities, to review the rules for placing basic communication data near residential areas and social facilities.
The introduced bans “significantly limit the development of professional connections”, “are support for the dismantling of already functioning basic principles” and lead to “cessation of the provision of communication services” in these regions. Shadayev noted that due to supernatural phenomena, residents may have their emergency calls turned off and emergency alerts may not be triggered.
On the project for the location of each station point, operators receive a sanitary and epidemiological conclusion from Rospotrebnadzor. This is confirmation that they are safe to place.
