Megafon has registered a representative office in the Kyrgyz Republic, the company’s office will begin operating in Bishkek in October, the operator said in a statement.
The team’s main focus will be the implementation of digital projects for companies and society.
Alexander Kaloshin, director of national projects at Megafon, became director of the representative office in Kyrgyzstan. He will combine his new position with work on the implementation of ICT projects in Russia.
The company is developing a number of large projects for the digitalization of industry, housing and communal services, transport infrastructure, the social sector, medicine and the mining industry. To do this, Megafon uses both communication technologies (NB-IoT, Private LTE, fixed Internet) and industrial standards and norms of the industries with which joint projects are carried out.
The company plans to scale this experience in Kyrgyzstan. Until the end of 2023, Megafon will launch a series of pilot projects in various sectors of the social and industrial order.
- The operator is already implementing the MegaFon Ecology project, where it collects and analyzes data on the state of the environment in real time and transmits it. The platform was tested in several Russian cities and was also implemented in the “Safe City” environmental monitoring subsystems in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Komi and Udmurtia.
- Using the same platform, monitoring of key parameters of the aquatic environment of the Pacific Ocean in the Kamchatka Territory and in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Volga River, is being developed. A digital air monitoring system has been introduced in Uzbekistan.
