DocsInBox service bought geopromotion platform Pointer

To buy DocsInBox, it attracted investments from the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF). The parties did not disclose financial details of the transaction.

The total volume of IIDF investments in DocsInBox currently amounts to 17.1 million rubles, the fund’s share in the company is 26.61%. The IIDF told Forbes that as part of the deal with Pointer they will invest in DocsInBox “an order of magnitude larger than the total amount of previous rounds.”

The publication’s experts estimate that Pointer costs 150-250 million rubles.

The deal was closed on October 4, as a result, Doxinbox LLC (the Russian legal entity of DocsInBox) became the owner of a 100% stake in Pointer LLC. The latter will remain an independent company within DocsInBox. Co-founder of DocsInBox, Evgeny Lebedev, became the general director of this company in July, writes RB.RU.

RB.RU also reported that in June Doxinbox LLC acquired 10.8% of Pointer, previously owned by the ISLA fund (owned by TilTech). In addition to LLC, Artem Efremov (44.59%), Olga Bolotova and Maria Niggol (both 22.29%) were also co-owners: they became sellers.

DocsInBox founder Leonid Dovbenko commented on the deal to Forbes that the acquisition should provide “a synergistic effect, given the active growth of both companies over the past year.”

• Puntero was founded in 2019. The service allows businesses to maintain up-to-date information about themselves in geoservices, automate work with reviews, attract customers from online maps and search engines, and increase ratings and reputation.
• DocsInBox automates document flow between restaurants and suppliers. The main areas of business, in addition to electronic document management, are working with invoices, alcohol accounting and labeling of goods. The project began operating in 2015.
