VoltClip is a USB-powered tool that provides 9-12 volts for disconnecting the iPhone 16’s built-in battery, equipped with a USB-C adapter for power connection and alligator clips for easy attachment. Although Apple’s official repair documentation indicates that voltages as high as 30 volts can speed up the removal process, media reports suggest that iFixit has taken a simpler and more cost-effective approach.

The method allows users to safely and quickly remove the battery in just one minute. However, it should be noted that the method is only valid for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, and Pro and Pro Max still use adhesive.

VoltClip can be purchased for $10.95.
