While at Tesla, Ho played a key role in the development of the Model Y and Cybertruck, beginning production at factories in Berlin and Texas and increasing Tesla’s production capacity from 500,000 to 1.85 million vehicles per year. It also laid the foundation for Tesla’s future robotaxi project.

Ho’s move coincides with the expansion of Waymo’s autonomous taxi fleet, including the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Interestingly, another key Tesla program manager, Daniel Zhang, also recently left the company.
