It seems that Apple you find yourself deleting applications from your App Store massively just because they haven’t been updated in a long time. To report everything were many developers, who as explained on the pages of The edge they speak up to communicate details about the problem.
Apparently, the company is sending emails to anyone who needs to update their app within 30 days to prevent it from being removed from the digital store. While the plan is to clean up by removing all software now left behind by the developers, there has been no shortage of reports of working games at risk of being removed this way.
For example, as you can see in the Tweet below, one developer discussed how the company anticipated the takedown with an email, asking for an update within 30 days, despite the title now being complete and development being canceled as a result. discontinued, despite the fact that it is still being played.
I feel sick. Apple just emailed me saying they are removing my free game Motivoto because it is over 2 years old.
It is part of their app improvement system.
This isn’t cool. 2000 console games are still for sale.
This is an unfair barrier for indie developers. pic.twitter.com/7XNcLfiEcR

We do not know how the situation will evolve and the company has not yet had an opportunity to comment officially on the situation, although fortunately the developers are warned in advance before carrying out the operations.
