The Tagansky District Court found Microsoft guilty of violating Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation concerns the untimely restriction or deletion of information, access to which must be limited in accordance with Russian legislation. The company was fined 3.5 million rubles.
On the same day, a similar fine was imposed on Pinterest Europe Limited for similar violations. Previously, in August, the court also fined Google 3.5 million rubles for non-compliance with Russia’s requirements.
Pinterest is a social network and platform for sharing ideas, inspiration and discoveries in the form of images and short videos. It was launched in 2010 and quickly gained popularity, especially among those interested in design, cooking, fashion, art, event planning and DIY projects.
