An unknown hacker of the Internet Archive posted information about the amount of data that was leaked online on the organization’s website. As a result of the hack, the data of 31 million registered users was leaked. The organization’s services have not been available since October 9.

“Have you ever felt like the Internet Archive is always on the brink of a catastrophic data breach? “This just happened,” the message said.

The functionality of the portals has been restored after the DDoS attack. Kale said the hackers stole usernames, email addresses and passwords.

The Internet Archive was founded in 1996. The Wayback Machine service appeared in 2001, but has been storing data since 1996. It contains data on most of the public Internet.
