According to him, the legal entity submitted documents on Thursday, October 10. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the company employs one person – general director Anatoly Mashkov.

The company already applied for self-assessment to the Federal Tax Service in December 2023, but was rejected. Sony Mobile Communications is a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Sony. The company specializes in the production of smartphones and other wearable devices and accessories.

In March 2022, after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, Sony decided to suspend its activities in Russia. The restrictions affected the import of PlayStation consoles and the operation of the PS Store, where games for consoles can be purchased and updated. In May of the same year, the Russians filed a class action lawsuit against Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe Limited (a European division of Sony) and Sony’s Moscow office due to the closure of services.
