The company sold out the first batch of the PS5 fairly quickly, to the point of shortage, and the PS4 Pro sold even better. At the same time, PS5 Pro sales also increased, but this, oddly enough, suggests that logistics have improved. Sony was able to significantly improve its supply chain, allowing retailers to avoid shortages.

Sony’s new approach to sales is that while the company previously tried to sell as many consoles as possible, the goal is now higher margins and making money from compatible game projects.
