The train will depart “mirror” from Moscow and St. Petersburg twice a day: at 06:00 Moscow time and at 13:50 Moscow time. The duration of the trip will be from five hours 25 minutes to five hours 50 minutes, depending on the flight chosen. The cost of the trip is 1.8 thousand rubles one way.
The trains will be made up of 15 comfortable carriages with capacity for more than a thousand passengers at the same time. We are talking about carriages with seats of standard and improved configuration, clarified the FPC (“subsidiary” of Russian Railways). Aurora will also have a luxury sleeper car (SV), a staff car and a restaurant car.
The chairs are equipped with folding tables and footrests. In carriages with an improved layout, passengers will be able to turn their seats 180 degrees and adjust the angle of the backrest.
In June, Russian Railways announced that all carriages would be equipped with climate control systems, dry closets and additional space for luggage and belongings. In addition, the seats will have individual power outlets, as well as USB and Type-C ports.
- The Aurora sailed between Moscow and Saint Petersburg from 1963 to 2010. The train was replaced by the Sapsan high-speed train, which came into operation in December 2009.
