According to the report, gamers spend an average of 7.4 hours a week playing games, but spend 8.5 hours on videos and broadcasts.

Gaming videos are especially popular among console and PC owners: 24% regularly watch themed content. Among in-game content buyers, this figure reaches 48%.

The research included players from the US, UK, Australia, Germany, France, South Korea and other countries.

Midia Research states that data shows that video content is not valued enough by publishers. It opens new opportunities for monetization and engagement with audiences.
