WhatsApp has added another shortcut to check the Status of your contacts. In the “Conversations” tab, you will be able to check temporary posts from other profiles, even if you have viewed them before.
This addition is actually a complement: WhatsApp already lets you view Status from the “Conversations” screen, but only posts you haven’t seen yet. When you open the broadcast for the first time, shortcut disappears.
But this method has a limitation: If you want to review the Status after shutdown, you need to open the “Updates” tab and look for it there. Fortunately, with a recent update, WhatsApp fixed this minor inconsistency.
In version 24.21.10.74 of WhatsApp Beta for iOS, The shortcut to view the status is always available in the “Conversations” tab, even after viewing the post. When the post is new to you, the shortcut appears as a green circle around the profile photo; but once viewed the circle turns gray but remains visible.
Just like Instagram Direct Messages, tapping the profile icon while the Status is still present will display the content on the screen. THE that person doesn’t know you’ve seen the post more than once. Although the change is subtle, it makes a significant contribution to the usability of the app.
It is not known when the new feature will be released to everyone, but since it is a small new feature, it may not take too long. It is worth emphasizing that This review is already available in WhatsApp Beta for Android.
