The new model focuses on improving performance. According to Apple, the new A17 Pro chipset increases processor performance by 30% and graphics quality by 25% compared to previous models. The processing speed of tasks related to machine learning and AI is doubled. The tablet can easily handle resource-intensive applications and supports games ported from PCs and consoles, the company noted.

The device has retained its compact dimensions and has a bezel-less design with an 8.3-inch display. It also comes with a Touch ID fingerprint scanner for unlocking. Apple claims that the new tablet can run all day on a single charge, but the company has not revealed data on battery capacity and charging speed.

The tablet is also compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro stylus. It will be available in four colors: blue, purple, starry, and space gray.

The cost of the basic version of the iPad mini 2024 with a memory capacity of 128 GB in the USA will be 499 dollars (almost 48 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank as of October 15), and the model with Wi -Fi and support for mobile communications networks will cost 649 dollars (more than 62,000 rubles). Prices for the versions with 256 GB and 512 GB of memory have not yet been published. The start of sales is planned for October 23, pre-orders are open.
