5 incredible cars of 2024, which so far exist in a single copy. You can even fly on one

The automotive industry surprises me no less than the gaming industry. What is special in cross-section is what I see on the roads and what appears at various exhibitions. The ideas of the visionaries are clearly ahead of current technological development on several fronts.

However, many crazy projects reach implementation, albeit in a single format. Today we look at 5 concepts that look nothing less than the car of the future.

But you can touch this future with your hands at car exhibitions today.

1. Luxury Hongqi Golden Sunflower

At the Beijing convention, Hongqi presented the flower concept car Hongqi Golden Sunflower. This car is already being called a competitor by the Rolls-Royce Specter.

So far, not many details are known about the premium sedan of the future. But there are several interesting points.

Firstly, the logo located in the center can be assembled inside the car body. Interestingly, the logo itself is tilted forward by 23.5 degrees, which corresponds to the tilt of the earth’s axis.

The electric car is designed as an aerodynamic super coupe with its own seats, and the vertical opening doors are distinguished by “guillotine” doors.

The name “Golden Sunflower” is reserved for Hongqi’s most expensive and luxurious models, and no one else is allowed to use it. The planned price is about $1 million. However, it is unclear whether this concept will go into production.

2. Supersonic MG EX181

Even in 2024, companies are not shocked by the display of ultra-futuristic hypercars that look more like cars from science fiction films about racing in space.

For example, this concept was created in honor of the 100th anniversary of the British brand MG. In the past, the company had already successfully created a prototype of a working supercar, called the “Growling Drop” and capable of reaching speeds of up to 410 km/h at the Bonneville Salt Lake.

The MG EX181 is a single-seat hypercar with an incredibly low drag coefficient. It is equipped with special electric motors that allow acceleration to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds. The maximum speed and the location where the tests will be carried out are not yet known.

However, it is clear that the MG EX181 is unlikely to be mass produced as no road in the world can handle such power.

3. Sophisticated Lexus LF-ZL

Much more realistic, but no less impressive in 2024 is the Lexus LF-ZL. This is a mechanical crossover that is constantly becoming a production car for the Spanish market.

The first thing you notice about this car is its doors, made in the style of a “sliding” design. They open automatically, revealing a minimalist bamboo-trimmed interior.

The contents of this crossover also correspond to the spirit of the times. A derived system with artificial intelligence is built into its “brains”. She studies the driver’s preferences, analyzing his favorite tastes, favorite movies and even conversations. However, all this spying activity is necessary only to predict what song the driver will want to hear early on Monday morning.

For now, the LF-ZL is a concept that only allows us to see future flagship brands. Perhaps in a few years we will see a car market using his developments.

4. XPeng AeroHT, which can fly

Over the past ten years, XPeng has developed five types of cargo drones. In 2021, it became known that the sixth generation will be called a full-fledged flying car.

In 2024, XPeng unveiled its Aeroht summer car concept. This supercar is equipped with special hidden propellers that extend from the roof when necessary.

The car’s interior is also adapted to different modes of use. The steering wheel and instrument panel seamlessly switch between ground and flight modes to adapt to your new environment. The exterior of the car resembles a two-door coupe with short hood covers that slide onto the A-pillars. The doors are transparent, which provides excellent visibility during the flight.

Xpeng AeroHT said the flying car will weigh about 1,000 kg. So far, the rifle detection system has not been demonstrated in action, only in computer renderings. Serial production of the summer car will likely begin in 2025, with a preferred price of $137,000.

5. Premium Infiniti Vision Qe

And we will end on a more down-to-earth note (sorry for the pun) a concept car reminiscent of the next generation of sedans from the near future.

The concept, implemented in a four-door sedan format, whose design, according to Infiniti, is inspired by Japanese philosophy and represents a global vision for the future of electric vehicles.

The car received a luminous imitation of the radiator grille, behind the protrusion on the lower edge of the hood, and an LED strip along the entire side of the auxiliary power supply. No, he cannot fly, he does not accelerate instantly and does not have pumped up artificial intelligence.

But it looks like how I personally see future production cars in about 5-10 years. However, the Japanese brand promises to launch production of sedans on an assembly line in Poranje – sometime in 2026.

If only someone showed the concept of the future of the future

As I explore the concept and show car industry, I can’t help but wonder, “So how will this work as a replacement?” And if everything is clear with the plus or minus realistic Golden Sunflower and LF-ZL, then, for example, the same XPeng Aero HT I have a number of, let’s say… organizational issues.

How will the flight be regulated from the point of view of traffic rules? Will they bring the landing rules? How many times have the police explained to the driver that he is not a bomber, but, for example, a courier? There are many questions, no answers.

But the industry itself is impressive. All hours of work are spent solely on showing the car exclusively from the visual side and rarely from the practical side. This fascinates me personally.

I voice this thought to you. Have a good day!
