The model is run using the Self-Taught Evaluator data generation method. It involves breaking down complex problems into smaller ones and improves accuracy in solving complex problems in subjects such as science, coding and mathematics.
“We expect that as AI develops, it will get better at its self-assessments and eventually its capabilities will surpass those of humans,” said Meta researcher Jason Weston.
Meta-researchers who worked on the model told the agency that the ability to use AI to reliably evaluate other AI models paves the way to creating autonomous AI agents that can learn from their own mistakes. Additionally, self-learning models can eliminate the need for experts to label data and verify answers to complex queries, Reuters writes.
