MK was the first to learn of the incident and stated that the body of Mikhail Rogachev, 64, was discovered around 8:30. Furthermore, on its Telegram channel, the publication quotes the words of the deceased’s last message: “Olya, write. Please Lena, I’m not thinking straight” (sent at 3:12 p.m.).

Later, the Mash Telegram channel reported that the man suffered from cancer and left a suicide note. Some media suggest that he wrote in it that he was tired of his illness, but no one cites the text of the message.

A TASS source in law enforcement agencies stated that “the main version of his death is suicide” and also confirmed the very fact that the deceased had cancer.

Mikhail Rogachev graduated in metallurgical engineering from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, was a candidate of sciences and studied at the London Business School.

In the nineties, the businessman held various management positions at Yukos Corporation, at different times he was CEO of the ONEXIM group, deputy general director of the mining and metallurgical company Norilsk Nickel, headed the Russian Fund for Technological Development, etc.
