So about 200 Samsung employees responded to three open positions in etching technology at SK Hynix, which caused a widespread outcry. In addition, SK Hynix’s youth recruitment system is also attracting more and more candidates from Samsung.

Some workers choose to go to public research institutes, such as the Korea Electronics and Technology Institute (KETI), where recent hires have received large numbers of PhDs.

In response, Samsung management acknowledged the problem and encouraged employees to actively work despite the current difficulties.
