Ozon told the publication that the plaintiff demands to remove from the market “a foreign store that uses the Poizon designation in its activities.” The company did not specify what type of seller it was.
A representative for Poison said he would comment only after the court’s decision. The lawsuit was filed on September 2, the first hearing will be held on November 14.
On October 17, it became known that the Russian company Poizon was sued in a case against the Chinese marketplace Poizon. The latter accused her of unfair competition. A hearing in this case is scheduled for December 2.
The Ozon press service told RB.RU that after receiving the claim from Poison LLC, they “took all necessary measures (sent a notification to the seller, who independently eliminated the possible violation of rights).”
“At the same time, we note that we will closely monitor the progress of Poizon’s trial and lawsuit against Poizon LLC regarding the legality of the registration and use of the trademarks,” the company representative added.
