Both emblems have the shape of the letter “U” and refer to the logo of the British Unilever (former parent company Unilever Rus). Applications were submitted for 13 classes of the international classification of goods and services. This will allow Unilever Rus to produce cosmetics and perfumes, laundry detergents, teeth cleaning products, lemonades, tea and other products under these brands.
The publication sent a request to Unilever Rus, but did not receive a response. The company has not yet announced a rebrand.
- In early October, Unilever closed a deal to sell Russian and Belarusian companies. The buyer of the assets was the cosmetics and household chemicals manufacturer Arnest. According to Financial Times sources, the amount of the transaction amounted to 520 million euros (approximately 54.3 billion rubles at the Central Bank exchange rate as of October 25).
- In June, Unilever Rus began Russifying its brand names. For example, Domestos became “Domestos” and Cif became “Sif”.
