Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, Russian colleges will begin training game developers and specialists in working with artificial intelligence.
The corresponding professions appear in the list of professions and specialties of secondary vocational education, as follows from the order of the Ministry of Education.
Training in this area will last 3 years 10 months for those who complete 9th grade, and 2 years 1 month for students entering after 11th grade.
The educational standard for the specialty “Development of computer games, augmented and virtual reality” includes, in addition to individual games, the study of the development of software modules, immersive and remote applications, testing of information systems, 3D modeling and visualization of system components.
