In September, the total share of visits to sites through the Yandex Browser, Yandex with Alice and Yandex Start applications on all types of devices reached 36.23%, that is, 1.44 pp more than Google. The gap on mobile devices was 5.3 percentage points. – 37.31% versus 32.01%, respectively.
The growth in the share of Yandex products in the company is explained by the release of a new version of the browser, which opens up to users a number of new neural network capabilities.
It is clarified that the company used the Yandex Radar service to calculate the shares. Visitors’ visits to the website were taken into account in total for all products with a browsing function: Yandex Browser, Yandex and Yandex Start applications, and in the case of Google, Chrome and the Google search application.
At the end of September, Yandex Browser added a text editor powered by the YandexGPT neural network, a neural translator, and a tool for briefly retelling texts. The innovations, as reported, will make it possible to solve content-related problems without the need to use other services and applications.
On the morning of October 29, MKPAO Yandex reported its third quarter results. The company’s revenue increased by 36% year-on-year to 276.8 billion rubles. Adjusted net profit increased by 118% to 25.1 billion rubles.
