The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to conduct an experiment on the labeling of some sweets and confectionery products in the period from December 15, 2024 to August 31, 2025. The draft government resolution is published on the official portal of regulatory legal acts.

The explanatory note of the document indicates that participation will be voluntary. It is proposed to label chocolate, candies, marshmallows, marshmallows, cookies, jellies, jams, jams and chewing gum. The list also includes fruits, nuts, vegetables and other types of sweets preserved with sugar.
“Participants in the experiment will have the opportunity to test all the necessary processes for labeling confectionery products and develop optimal technical solutions, taking into account the experience accumulated by the integrating companies and Operator-CRPT LLC in the implementation of a labeling system in other product groups”. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The “Honest Sign” system has been operating in Russia since 2019 and was created to combat counterfeiting. The operator is the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CDPT). It now contains data on dairy products, bottled water, soft drinks, tobacco, beer, shoes, light industrial products, fur coats, tires, perfumes, cameras, medical products, wheelchairs, antiseptics, dietary supplements, medications and other products.
In October, Russia began an experiment on video game labeling. Before that, it decided to label condoms and syringes, and in June it affected smartphones and laptops.
