Deputies of the State Duma of Georgia presented a new bill related to entrepreneurial activity in Western social networks.
According to him, banks and financial organizations should stop serving companies that provide services “using websites” that distribute information prohibited in Russia and blocked access to entities in the country. In particular, it searches for Instagram and Facebook (*both refer to Meta, recognized as extremist in Russia).
If companies do business on social networks, banking services will be closed to them. The corresponding receipt of income in article 7 of the Federal Law “On counteracting the legalization (laundering) of income, proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism.” [BBC]
