Previously, around 20% of red and green ink was lost because it could not be reused, but the new system allows up to 80% of the remaining ink to be returned to the process.
According to Samsung Display, ink replacement will save the company more than 10 billion won annually.
The renewed ink’s high purity and optical properties help reduce production costs and make Samsung QD-OLED TVs more affordable for customers.
