The State Services portal now has a form for registering owners of channels and pages on social networks with more than 10 thousand subscribers. After identification, Roskomnadzor will add them to a special list, the Ministry of Digital Development reports on its Telegram channel.

Registration is available to individuals and legal entities, as well as individual entrepreneurs, including foreign citizens with a confirmed account with State Services.

How registration works:

  • owners of channels or pages must submit through a special form in the State Services a minimum set of data about themselves and their channel, including contact information;
  • After submitting a request, the owner receives a unique number that must be placed in a pinned message or channel description to confirm ownership;
  • Roskomnadzor reviews the application within 10 working days, after which a notification is sent to the owner in his personal State Services account;
  • After listing, it is necessary to add a unique link to the Roskomnadzor registry in the channel description so that users and advertisers can check the status of the channel.

The department noted that if channels and pages are not included in the list, advertisers will not be able to place ads on them and other channels will not be able to republish their messages. These restrictions will go into effect on January 1, 2025.

In August, Vladimir Putin signed a law requiring owners of blogs and channels with more than 10,000 subscribers to report to Roskomnadzor. Those who refuse to provide information about themselves will be prohibited from posting possible ways to sponsor the owner and channel.
