  • The cost of the Jam subscription is 14,990 rubles per month.

As the market’s press service explained, the service covers 133 categories of clothing for men and women. The photo studio has 20 avatars of different shapes and body types. AI algorithms can select a model’s pose and generate a background. In addition, neural networks are able to take into account the material, cut, color and other characteristics of clothing to make images more realistic.

Taking pictures will take a few minutes.

The number of avatars used will increase. Wildberries promises that the service will reduce sellers’ costs for organizing photos and quickly preparing photo content.

“Virtual Photo Studio” is available in card editing mode. To generate photos, sellers will need to upload a photo, select a model and background, and begin the generation. The photo creation mechanism will be improved, its creators promise.

In Russia you can find thousands of offers from entrepreneurs who take photos for Wildberries and other markets.

As one of the entrepreneurs, who did not want to give her name, explained to the publication, photo sessions are a very complex and time-consuming process. Often, organizers organize group photo sessions in studios and with guest models for several sellers at once. The cost of the work varies depending on the volume of the order. For example, prices in Moscow start from 1,400 rubles per photograph, taking into account the rental of the studio, the work of a photographer, a model and subject to an order of 20 photographs or more.

“On average, a photo shoot for one item can cost 4,000 rubles separately and 700-800 rubles for ready-made photo shoots,” a WB and Ozon seller told RB.RU. Alexandra Boykova, director of the Teplitsa market analysis and promotion agency.

According to the expert, a good product photo shoot is the basic key to sales.

“It is important that a customer in the market can use photographs to feel as if they are touching a live product in a store and understand all its nuances. If the product in the photo differs from the one you actually receive in the fitting room, then the customer will not buy it and the seller will have to pay the costs,” Boykova said.

The specialist clarified that sellers began testing AI a long time ago, but in most cases, using a neural network, they do not make a photo session from scratch, but work with a ready-made result, changing styles, backgrounds. and even faces. and skin color of the models.

“All this simplifies the work of designers and really reduces the time and financial resources for conversion testing. But it is unlikely that product photo shoots will be abandoned in the near future,” the expert concluded.

Managing Partner of +7 Productions Alexander Krivosheev I was skeptical about the idea.

“We have been working for a long time to verify citizens’ trust in real reviews in video format. Since text materials are usually written by editors. Therefore, in the markets, in the reviews they look at real people in real clothes. Here there will be another model, which in the end may be far from reality. This also poses a risk of disappointment during adaptation,” explained the expert.

Krivosheev added that 10 generations is enough.

“Considering that you can order several things at once from Wildberries and try them on, the innovation will not have a significant impact on consumer behavior. But for the overall PR perception of the brand, pretty good. How innovative and technologically advanced. Considering the current negative history surrounding the brand, this is a smart move. And it is also reasonable to “adapt” it to the needs of the sellers,” added the expert.
