Students from the MIPT School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics in Physics and Technology have created a program that helps create scripts for films and TV series using a broad language model. According to the university press service, the AI assistant takes on routine tasks such as generating ideas, editing texts and collaborating with multiple authors. This allows you to simplify and speed up the process: for example, it takes only 20 minutes to prepare text for a 40-minute episode.
The development team identified three phases of the program. First, data about characters or events is collected, then a request is generated to the model, and finally the AI agent generates text in conversational mode. According to project participants, the tool can be easily adapted to different genres and styles, whether short stories, documentaries or television series, and the necessary requirements and style can be specified in the request.
The creators of the program state that the texts created are still templates, which reduces the risk for professional screenwriters. They see AI as a complement to their work rather than a replacement, leaving room for creativity and personalization.
