Along with the release of iOS 18.2, a new App Intent API appeared.

It allows developers to provide content screen access to Siri and Apple Intelligence in their apps.

When a user asks a question about on-screen content or wants to choose an action with it, Siri and Apple Intelligence can identify the content to answer the question and choose an action. If the user explicitly requests it, Siri and Apple Intelligence can add content to the appropriate external services. For example, someone might be browsing a website and use Siri to provide brief summaries by saying or typing a phrase like “Hey Siri, what is this document about?”
