On Thursday, at least, Samolet shares were trading at a price of 1,234.5 rubles per share. At the time of publication of the note, the shares cost 1,265.5 rubles, 7.6% less.
Previously, on November 7, Forbes sources in the real estate market reported that the promoter’s shareholders were looking for a buyer for Kenin’s stock. According to one of the publication’s interlocutors, “they offered it to many people,” but “they also talked about the complete Airplane package.” The company’s press service told the magazine that they “do not comment on rumours.”
Interlocutors of the publication suggested that the sale of Kenin shares could be related to the group’s financial problems. “Things are very bad there and the sale is one of the options for the development of events,” a company source accompanying the transactions explained to Forbes.
This information was confirmed to the magazine by one of Samolet’s former senior managers. According to him, this and other developers were “tied” to mortgages and lost most of their sales due to current interest rates. Forbes’ interlocutor clarified that the company wants to attract an investor with capital to face financial difficulties.
At the end of October, billionaire God Nisanov announced that he and his Kyiv Ploshchad group of companies withdrew from Samolet’s shareholding. From the financial report of the promoter it follows that, according to the results of the three quarters of 2024, the company’s sales fell by 37%, to 50.2 billion rubles, compared to the same period in 2023. At the same time , in January-September the figure increased by 25%, to 220.9 billion rubles, compared to the same period last year.
